idt announces the addition of The Town of Apex, North Carolina to our growing list of municipal clients. Idt completed Apex’s plan review portal with the insertion of their standard forms, and setting of Apex business rules within 2 weeks. This short period was possible because Apex decided to use our default applications. The Town of Apex accepted their first real electronic plan review project submittal within 30 days of agreement confirmation and continues to express total satisfaction with the idt solutions and support.

Idt is pleased to announce the Town of Cary, North Carolina has deployed idt's electronic permit, plan review, and fee collection applications.
Initially, the Town of Cary requested an application to serve their Planning Department (Land, Site and Subdivision) Plan Reviews.

The Town of Cary decided to deploy the electronic plan review application first
in their Planning Department. They chose to perform several in-house mock trial runs to prove the concept. Next, the Planning Department invited key developers to participate and submit actual project applications, plans, and documents electronically. The City invited developers with whom they had good relations and who frequently submitted projects to the City.

As of January 2009 numerous Planning projects have been approved electronically, and the City is confidant, comfortable, and has opened electronic plan reviews for Site and Subdivisions to the general public.

A 40 year old company, Willdan currently provides electronic exclusive plan review services to over 80 cities and jurisdictions as well as third party plan review services to over 240 other jurisdictions.

The City of Tucson has awarded the contract for its electronic plans project. idtplans LLC (www.idtplans.com) prevailed over 8 other competitors from around the nation, including such companies as McGraw - Hill and Accela. The evaluation period lasted over four and a half months, while the city considered what each organization offered, and how well they satisfied the city’s need for an electronic plan service.
